Where the LA12X Fits

Every L’Acoustics passive cabinet is designed to be driven by an amplified controller running that cabinet’s factory preset — the crossover, voicing, phase alignment, and driver protection are all in the amplifier, not the box. The LA12X is the high-output member of that controller family: four channels of 2600 W at 4 Ω, bridgeable to 2 × 10400 W, in a 2U touring rack unit.

In our inventory, that output is what makes the big configurations possible. A SUB KS21 quad pack at festival level, a flown array over a concert stage, or a large multi-hang SYVA deployment across a sprawling venue — these are LA12X territory. Where a standard SYVA wedding package runs comfortably on the LA4X, the LA12X takes over the moment the low end or the array size scales up.

Croatian Logistics

LA12X units travel in shock-mounted amp racks, pre-wired and flight-cased, in our own vehicles from the Split base. For island events (Hvar, Brač, Vis, Korčula) the full system ships on scheduled car ferries the day before the event, so a Bura-delayed crossing never threatens the show. Power requirements are confirmed with the venue or generator supplier during the site advance — at LA12X output levels, dedicated circuits are planned, not hoped for.

Can I rent the LA12X without a speaker system?

No. The LA12X is quoted exclusively as part of a complete L’Acoustics package — cabinets, amplification, cabling, and technician together — because the factory presets make the amplifier and speakers a single engineered system. If you need amplification for other speakers, ask us and we will propose the right alternative from the wider inventory.

When does a system need the LA12X instead of the LA4X?

When output scales up: KS21 subwoofer stacks, large or flown arrays, and long-throw outdoor deployments. Standard SYVA wedding and gala packages run on the LA4X. You never have to choose — the quote we send names the correct controller configuration for your venue, guest count, and programme.

Is a technician mandatory?

Yes, always. Preset assignment, output routing, gain structure, and live tuning determine both how the system sounds and whether the drivers stay protected at full output. The technician delivers, configures, operates, and strikes the system; the EUR 120/hr rate is itemized upfront in every quote.

How far in advance should I book?

High-output systems and the technicians who run them are the first resources to sell out in peak season (June–September) — enquire as early as possible, and add lead time for island dates so ferry logistics can run the day before the event.
