Why L’Acoustics SYVA

SYVA delivers 139 dB max SPL from a compact column that disappears visually into the venue while filling 600 guests with even, fatigue-free sound. The constant-directivity design means every guest hears the same balanced mix — front row, back row, sides. SYVA BASS extends the low end without adding visual mass on stage.

What separates SYVA from conventional PA at the same output level is how it delivers that SPL. The colinear driver arrangement behaves like a small line array: sound level falls off far more gradually with distance than it does from a point-source box. In practice, guests standing three metres from the column are not being blasted so that guests thirty metres away can hear — the system stays comfortable near the front and intelligible at the back. For wedding speeches, corporate presentations, and live vocals, that translates directly into clarity without feedback fights.

System Design and Amplification

SYVA is passive, so the amplifier is part of the system design, not an accessory. A standard SYVA + SYVA BASS pair runs from an LA4X amplified controller loaded with L’Acoustics factory presets for the exact cabinet combination. Larger configurations — multiple hangs, or SYVA combined with SUB KS21 for club-level low end — move up to the LA12X. Our technician selects the amplifier count and preset configuration when we quote, based on your venue geometry and target SPL, and tunes the system on site via L-NET network control during soundcheck.

This is also why the system is quoted as a package: the right answer for a 150-guest courtyard wedding and a 500-guest outdoor brand event is the same SYVA columns with a completely different amplification and sub configuration behind them.

Croatian Venue and Logistics Guide

We deliver SYVA systems across the Croatian coast from our Split base. The cabinets and amplifier racks travel flight-cased in our own vehicles; a standard SYVA package fits in a van alongside the rest of the event’s production. For island venues on Hvar, Brač, Vis, or Korčula, we ship on scheduled car ferries and plan delivery for the day before the event, so a Bura-delayed ferry never threatens the event itself — allow extra lead time when booking island dates.

On site, the technician handles placement, cabling, amplifier configuration, soundcheck, live operation, and teardown. Power requirements are confirmed during the site advance; historic venues and generator-fed island estates are routine for us, but we verify circuits before event day rather than during it. As with all complex setups, the on-site technician is billed at EUR 120/hr and always itemized upfront in the quote — no hidden fees.

One planning note for outdoor coastal events: Croatian municipalities enforce local noise ordinances (Hvar Town and Dubrovnik’s Old Town are the strictest in peak season). SYVA’s directivity control is an advantage here — the energy goes at the audience, not the neighbourhood — but we still plan set timelines around any curfew with you.

Yes, always. Our technician delivers, configures, soundchecks, operates, and strikes the system. The technician rate (EUR 120/hr) is itemized in every quote upfront.

What venues and events suit SYVA best?

Anywhere audio quality and looks both matter for roughly 100–600 guests: villa and estate weddings, historic courtyards and fortress venues, hotel galas, fashion shows, and brand events. If your event is smaller, tell us anyway — we will usually recommend a more economical Bose system instead and say so directly.

How far in advance should I book?

For peak season (June–September), as early as possible — premium system dates go first, and island events need ferry-aware logistics planned the day before the event. For mainland events we can often move faster, but two to four weeks’ notice is a realistic minimum for a properly designed SYVA package.

Can I rent SYVA without the SYVA BASS subs?

The TOP + BASS pairing is our standard package because most events want full-range music. For speech-only programmes or venues with strict low-frequency limits, ask — we will configure and quote what the event actually needs.
