An early look at the thinking behind Cosmic Production’s second-generation website and blog, built as a stronger home for music, media, and original content.

Welcome to version 2.0 of the Cosmic Production website and blog.
This was the point where we started thinking of the site as more than a simple company page. The plan was to build a space that could eventually support playlists, music, photography, written content, and digital products, while still staying grounded in what Cosmic Production already was: a business built around music, events, and creative work.
The decision came from a practical place. Platforms such as SoundCloud, Mixcloud, Beatport, and Spotify each serve an important purpose, but they are still third-party platforms. Trends change, business models change, and what works well in one season may become less reliable in the next. Having our own digital home was a way to keep more control over how our work was presented.
The ambition at the time was broad. We wanted the site to feel like a place where someone could listen to a mix, follow a playlist, explore visual work, and get closer to the wider world around Cosmic Production rather than only reading a static service description.

That same spirit shaped the blog. Instead of treating it as a side feature, the idea was to use it as an editorial layer around the business: music culture, event life, creative thinking, and the places where all of those overlap.
At the time, one of the featured items was a recent mix from DJ Nocturnal at Hotel Park in Split, titled Pool of Dreams Vol. I. Hotel Park remains one of the standout hospitality venues in the city, and it represented exactly the kind of environment we wanted the site to reflect: elegant, musical, social, and unmistakably local.

Looking back, this version of the site is also a snapshot of how wide our interests already were. Beyond music, we were thinking about visual storytelling, digital communication, and how a small independent brand could build its own channel instead of depending entirely on rented platforms.
That ambition has evolved since then, but the core idea still holds: our work is strongest when the platform presenting it feels like it belongs to us.
