Island Event Specialists
Zero-Fail Island Logistics
We plan ferries, buffers, backups, and on-island setup before the day begins, so your event does not end up improvising around weather, access, or missed crossings.
Island Logistics Pricing
Island production costs more when it is planned properly. Here is what changes and what those extra costs are protecting.
Island Logistics Surcharges
Added to standard rental pricing when the brief includes island delivery and support:
- Brač (Bol, Supetar) EUR 150
- Hvar (Hvar Town, Stari Grad) EUR 250
- Vis (Vis Town, Komiža) EUR 350
- Korčula EUR 300
- Šolta EUR 150
What the Surcharge Includes
- Ferry tickets (vehicle + crew)
- Day-before arrival coordination
- Weather monitoring (7 days out)
- Contingency route planning

Island Event Production Costs: What People Forget to Budget →The Challenge with Island Events
Mainland event logic breaks down fast when ferries, hand-carry access, and no same-day backup become part of the brief.
Ferry Dependency
Miss the last ferry and you're stuck. Ferries cancel in bad weather. Car ferry capacity is limited in peak season.
No Backup Available
Equipment fails everywhere. On an island, you can't drive to the warehouse for a replacement.
Access Constraints
Narrow old town streets, private beaches, no vehicle access — standard delivery doesn't work.
Our Protocol
These are the rules that keep island production calm. We built them across more than 100 island events, and we do not cut them when the day matters.
Day-Before Arrival
We never travel on event day. All island events get day-before equipment delivery and setup, with overnight accommodation for the crew.
Double Redundancy
Every critical component has a backup — at your venue, not in our warehouse. Speakers, mixers, microphones, cables: duplicated.
4-Hour Ferry Buffer
We book ferries with minimum 4-hour buffer before any scheduled setup. Weather delays happen. Jadrolinija schedules change.
Weather Contingency
For events May-September, we monitor Bura and Jugo forecasts 72 hours out. If needed, we travel a day earlier or route via alternate ferry.
Flight Case Protection
All equipment travels in waterproof flight cases. Tender transfers to private beaches or yachts use marine-grade strapping.
Local Relationships
We have standing relationships with ferry captains, venue managers, and local technicians on each island. When problems arise, we have contacts.
Where we already work
The route changes by island. The standard does not.
Hvar
Ferry: 2h from Split (car ferry) or 1h (catamaran)
Coverage: Hvar Town, Stari Grad, Jelsa
Notes: Most venues accessible by vehicle. Narrow old town streets require hand-carry for some locations.
Brač
Ferry: 50min from Split (car ferry)
Coverage: Bol, Supetar, Milna
Notes: Closest major island. Good road infrastructure. Beach venues may require 4x4 access.
Vis
Ferry: 2.5h from Split (car ferry)
Coverage: Vis Town, Komiža
Notes: Most remote major island. Limited ferry schedule. Weather-sensitive crossings.
Korčula
Ferry: 3.5h from Split or 1h from Orebić
Coverage: Korčula Town, Lumbarda
Notes: Can also be reached by land (via Pelješac). Old town is pedestrian-only.
We also service Šolta, Čiovo, and mainland coastal venues from Zadar to Dubrovnik.
Protection that travels well
Salt air, ferry vibration, tender transfers, and cobblestone hand-carry all punish equipment differently. We plan for that before the first case leaves the mainland.
- Waterproof flight cases
All speakers, mixers, and DJ gear travel in IP65-rated cases
- Marine-grade strapping
Tender transfers use ratchet straps and anti-slip mats
- Hand-carry teams
For old town venues without vehicle access, we bring dedicated carrying crew
- Post-event inspection
Equipment checked before returning to mainland, issues documented
Island logistics FAQ
How far in advance do you need for island events?
Minimum 2 weeks for simple setups, 4+ weeks for complex productions. Peak season (June-September) requires earlier booking due to ferry capacity and accommodation constraints.
What happens if the ferry is cancelled due to weather?
Our 4-hour buffer and day-before travel policy means we're already on the island before most weather events become critical. For severe weather, we have contingency routes via smaller boats or alternate islands.
Can you deliver to private villas or beaches?
Yes. We coordinate with property managers for access. For locations not accessible by vehicle, we use hand-carry teams and marine tender transfer for equipment.
Do you stay on the island during the event?
Always. Our crew doesn't leave until everything is packed and ready to return. For multi-day events, we remain on-island throughout.
What equipment do you bring as backup?
Depends on the event, but minimum: backup speakers, backup mixer, backup wireless microphones, complete cable set, and backup DJ gear if applicable. For weddings, we typically have 150% of required equipment on-site.
How do you handle power on remote beaches?
We bring battery-powered speakers for ceremonies (silent operation, no generator noise). For receptions, we assess power availability and bring appropriate distribution equipment or coordinate generator rental.
Need the island part to feel easy?
Bring us the venue, date, and guest flow. We will turn the ferry math, backups, and access planning into a calm production plan.
