The Karaoke Party Set is a complete singing setup in one delivery: a portable PA speaker on a stand, two wireless handheld microphones, and a tablet preloaded with a karaoke app carrying a multi-language song catalogue. It rents from EUR 120 per day, delivered and set up. Everything needed is in the box — there is nothing to download, pair or configure on the night, and no technician is required.
Ideal For
- Villa and apartment parties across Split, Hvar, Brač and the Dalmatian coast
- Birthdays and milestone celebrations where the entertainment needs to involve everyone
- Hen and stag weekends — consistently our most common booking for this set
- Corporate team evenings that need an icebreaker rather than a DJ
- Wedding after-parties, once the formal reception has wound down
Not Ideal For
- Large dance floors — this is a singing setup for up to about 80 guests, not a party PA. For that, see our speaker sets
- Professional DJ performance — there are no decks; pair it with a Pioneer XDJ-RX3 if you want both
- Venues with strict late-night noise limits — karaoke is, by nature, not a background activity
Why Rent This
Karaoke is the format that reliably gets a mixed group participating. At a Croatian villa week where guests span three generations and several nationalities, it does something a DJ set cannot: it gives people a reason to be in the same room doing the same thing. The multi-language catalogue matters here — groups on the Dalmatian coast are rarely all from one country, and a set that only carries English-language songs runs out of momentum quickly.
The practical argument is simpler. Assembling this yourself means sourcing a speaker, two microphones that do not feed back, a device with a working song library and the cables to join them together, in a rental villa, on holiday. We deliver it as one item, set it up, and collect it afterwards.
Two microphones is a deliberate choice rather than a cost saving. Solo karaoke in front of a group is intimidating; duets are not. Two mics is the difference between a set that gets used for twenty minutes and one that runs all evening.

Setup and Operation Guide
Place the speaker on its stand facing the singing area, with the microphones in front of rather than behind the speaker — standing behind the speaker line is the single most common cause of feedback. Power on the speaker, wake the tablet, and connect the two automatically.
Choose a song from the app, hand out the microphones, and set the level with someone actually singing rather than tapping the capsule. If you hear a ringing tone building, step further in front of the speaker or lower the microphone level slightly; it is almost never necessary to reduce the music.
At a villa with tiled floors and hard walls, expect the room to be livelier than you would guess. Starting the level lower than feels right and bringing it up once people are singing produces a better evening than the reverse.
Venue Considerations
Villa terraces and pool areas are the most common setting, and the set works well outdoors — the speaker’s battery capability means it does not need to sit next to a socket. Wind is the main variable: in a Bura, a speaker on a stand needs weighting, and the microphones will pick up gusting. Positioning against a wall or windbreak solves most of it.
Indoor apartments and old-town properties bring neighbours into the equation. Croatian residential quiet hours generally begin at 23:00 and are taken seriously in dense old-town areas. If your booking is in central Split, Hvar Town or Dubrovnik’s old city, plan the karaoke portion of the evening for earlier and check the property rules — a complaint that ends the party at 22:45 is a worse outcome than starting at 20:00.
Island bookings are straightforward: the whole set travels as one case on the ferry.
Pairs Well With
- Pioneer XDJ-RX3 — add real DJ playback for the rest of the evening
- Chauvet Freedom Q9 — battery uplighting to turn a terrace into a room
- Disco Ball — the obvious companion, quoted on request
- Bose S1 Pro Plus — a second speaker for larger groups
Frequently Asked Questions
How many songs are in the karaoke catalogue?
The tablet runs a karaoke app with a large streaming catalogue covering English, Croatian, German, Italian and other major European languages, plus the standard international pop repertoire. Because it streams, the catalogue is far larger than any offline song pack — but it does need Wi-Fi at the venue. Confirm the property has working Wi-Fi when you book; if it does not, tell us and we will supply an offline song pack instead.
Does the karaoke set need mains power?
The speaker can run on battery, which covers a typical evening and makes the set usable on a terrace, by a pool or anywhere without a convenient socket. The tablet holds a full evening’s charge. For all-day use, or to be certain, position the set within reach of a socket — Croatian mains at 230V/50Hz, standard Euro plug.
Can two people sing at the same time?
Yes — two wireless handheld microphones are included as standard, and both are live at once. In practice this is what makes the set work: duets get people participating who would never take a microphone alone.
How many guests does the karaoke set suit?
It is sized for 10-80 guests. Below about 10 it works but a portable speaker is more than you need; above 80 the speaker starts running out of headroom against a talking crowd, and we would recommend adding a second speaker or moving to a full speaker set.
Do you deliver the karaoke set to islands and villas outside Split?
Yes. Delivery is free within 15 km of Split and Zagreb, assuming our van can unload directly at the property. Islands, Dubrovnik and other locations are quoted on distance and ferry logistics. Tell us if the villa is reached by stairs or a footpath rather than a driveway, as that affects the crew time we allow.
