Technician setup recommended for this equipment

The Silent Party Set is a wireless headphone system — silent disco — that lets a dance floor run at full energy while the venue itself stays quiet. Guests wear multi-channel headphones fed by transmitters at the DJ position, so the music exists only inside the headphones. It is quoted on request, because the headphone count, channel configuration and duration change substantially with the event.

Ideal For

  • Venues with a hard noise curfew — the most common reason our clients book this
  • Old-town properties in Split, Hvar Town and Dubrovnik surrounded by residential neighbours
  • Late-night wedding segments, where the party continues past the point a PA would have to stop
  • Beach and clifftop events where sound carries far further than anyone expects
  • Multi-DJ events, with guests switching channels between simultaneous sets

Not Ideal For

  • Ceremonies and speeches — headphones isolate people; use a normal PA such as the Bose S1 Pro Plus
  • Events where guests move between many separate areas — transmitter range needs planning
  • Very short bookings — the setup and headphone distribution overhead is fixed regardless of duration

Why Rent This

Croatian noise regulation is the practical driver here. Many of the country’s most desirable venues — palace courtyards, old-town rooftops, residential villas, beach clubs near housing — carry a hard limit after 23:00, and it is enforced. For a wedding whose guests are only just warming up at eleven, that limit ends the evening at exactly the wrong moment.

A silent disco removes the constraint entirely. The ambient level in the room drops to conversation and singing, while the dance floor keeps running. Events that would have closed at 23:00 routinely continue to 02:00 or later, with the venue’s neighbours undisturbed. For destination weddings where guests have travelled a long way for one night, those three hours are usually the difference the client is actually paying for.

There is a second, less obvious benefit. Because the music is in the headphones, the rest of the space stays usable. Guests who want to talk can sit five metres from the dance floor and hold a normal conversation — something no conventional PA setup allows. Older guests and families with children tend to stay much later at silent events than at loud ones.

How It Works

Transmitters at the DJ position broadcast on multiple channels. Each headphone has a channel selector and its own volume control, with an LED that shows which channel the wearer is on — which is where the visual effect of a silent disco comes from, a floor of colour-coded heads splitting between DJs.

Guests can switch channels at will. At a multi-DJ event that means two or three sets running in parallel with the crowd voting with their headphones. At a single-DJ event the spare channels typically carry a slower playlist and, sometimes, a live feed of speeches.

We supply headphones scaled to your guest count, charged and distributed in cases, with the collection process handled at the end of the night. A technician is recommended and usually necessary: distribution, channel setup, and recovering the headphones at the end are a job in themselves.

Why This Is Priced On Request

Unlike a speaker or a DJ player, there is no single meaningful daily rate. The cost is driven by how many headphones you need, how many channels, how long the event runs, and where it is. A 40-guest villa party and a 250-guest beach wedding are different exercises in equipment and crew, and quoting one number for both would be misleading.

Send us your guest count, venue, event date and the hours you want the silent segment to run, and we will quote it properly. For island venues, include how the site is reached — headphone cases travel by ferry and by hand.

Venue Considerations

Transmitter placement determines coverage. Open terraces and gardens are straightforward. Venues split across levels — a courtyard below, a roof terrace above, thick stone between — may need a second transmitter position, which we survey for in advance where possible.

Beach and waterfront sites are where silent disco is most valuable in Croatia, because sound across open water travels remarkably far and complaints frequently come from properties that look distant. A silent setup sidesteps the problem completely.

For old-town locations, note that the silent format solves the amplified-music limit but not general noise: a hundred people singing along in a stone courtyard at 01:00 is still audible. Venues with the strictest rules sometimes cap total guest noise as well, so confirm the terms with the venue rather than assuming headphones make the event exempt.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the Silent Party Set priced on request rather than a daily rate?

Because the cost genuinely depends on scale. Headphone quantity, number of channels, event duration and location each move the price substantially, and a 40-guest villa party has little in common with a 250-guest beach wedding. Send your guest count, venue, date and the hours you need, and we will quote the actual configuration.

Will a silent disco let us run past our venue’s 23:00 noise limit?

In most cases, yes — that is the main reason clients book it. Because there is no amplified sound in the room, the usual limit on amplified music stops applying. Confirm it with your venue in advance, though: a few venues impose a general guest-noise curfew as well as an amplified-music one, and headphones do not exempt you from that.

How many channels do the headphones have?

The system is multi-channel, with each headphone carrying its own selector and volume control and an LED showing the active channel. That supports parallel DJs, or a main floor plus a second slower playlist. Tell us how you want the channels used and we will configure the transmitters accordingly.

Do we need a technician for a silent party?

We recommend one, and for most events it is necessary. Someone has to distribute several dozen charged headphones, set the channels, help guests who cannot hear anything because they are on the wrong channel, and recover the units at the end of the night. Technician time is EUR 120 per hour and is included in the quote.

Can you supply a silent party set for an island or beach venue?

Yes, and coastal sites are where it is most useful — sound travels much further over water than clients expect, and complaints often arrive from properties that look far away. Include the access details when you enquire: headphone cases move by ferry and then by hand, which affects the crew time we allow.
